Owning a gun is an American birthright. It is part of our heritage and certainly part of our culture. And whether you are a liberal or conservative, everyone agrees on that fact.

Where the divide seems to begin is on how best to celebrate that fact. For me, I think we could use a little more gun control. I think we are just a little screwed up over the whole fire arms issue. Which is why I am a huge fan of air rifles and other fun rifle toys like BB guns, and air guns. And they are something you can let your kids play with, under safe conditions and supervision obviously, but something harmless and fun all the same.

And those are the reasons why I think air rifles are the way to go with your family. You can celebrate being an American, but you do not have to put a lethal weapon in your children’s (or Dick Cheney’s) hands to do it!
