I have a confession to make, and I must apologize in advance to the green contingent of blog carter’s readership.

I love SUV’s.

Cars like the ascender and other isuzu suv makes are among my absolute favourites.

I love them because they are big, and I love them because I can go off road, bush bashing, in them. Two of the most fundamentally non-environmental statements, in relation to a big car, I could make. But, that is me.

It is fun. Going 4-wheel driving. Going camping. And with the SUV the whole family can go and we can go in comfort. With room to spare. I also feel safe knowing that my wife is driving the kids around in an SUV. It is bigger than a normal sedan. It has more car around her, for protection. Plus, ours has a bull-bar. And when you add the extra height and subsaquent better line of sight, it is a good option.

The modern SUV, especially the ascender, are easy to drive around town to. They have all the power options, and they are not heavy to maneuver. My wife is a fan aswell. We have always had SUVs, and probably always will. Even when the kids are grown and have all left home. That is our style.
