The world is filled with hundreds of different shades of color. All of those colors can be made into various shades of paint. Most, if not all colors, are used throughout different parts of the world. Although certain areas see house colors of brown and beige, other parts of the world see pastels and vibrant reds. Hiring a painter who is knowledgeable about color in the area is important. While you always want to stand out as the best looking home, you never want to stick out like a sore thumb.

I once had friends who loved the color aqua. They lived in a Midwestern state. On a small 3 by 3 inch square, aqua looked beautiful. Then, they went a bit overboard and decided to paint their house the color aqua. Boy was that a mistake! They did not do the job themselves. They hired a professional paint contractor. Why did the contractor not tell them the color was hideous? I believe they lacked professionalism and expertise in the paint/color department.

You should always choose paint contractors who are knowledgeable about the area in which they work. Contractors should know that pastels may work for Miami, Florida painters, but they certainly don’t work for Salt Lake Painters. Each part of the country has it’s own style. Make sure your paint contractors are familiar with that particular style.
